Yuni's Disability Reflection

This project was the most difficult to prepare in my opinion, because there was a lot of research and work put into it. But it was also one of the best projects/works for this class. I got to a lot more about disabilities and some that i personally have. I would like to have the links to where they found the information so that i could read about it. I'm an open book i don't really mind speaking about my issues. I got myopia, glaucoma, hypothyroidism, ADD, anxiety, depression and i have anorexic behaviors.

Well moving on! Group 1's presentation was beautiful and they had lots of information and topics to talk about their disability, and i felt like i learned more. I wish i could see their powerpoint once again so i could reread it and to maybe find links so that i can look at the articles they used. This project for sure brought all of us together because it was a more serious topic and we all had to do our research and make sure we don't say something wrong or offensive.

My group at first was a little out of order but as the date of presentation came we got all our things in order. we had spilt the works completely, we had some working on hearing while others had vision, we also split up who would work on the poster, brochure, study guide and agenda. which made the process of making the project much easier and faster. I appreciate how everyone was willing to do what they were told or assigned and i hope it stays like this for the project to come.

Group 3's presentation was amazing just like group 1 but i did feel like they were a little bit unorganized and had some missing details but that weren't too noticeable only if pointed out. Other than that i feel like group 3 had good information about psychological and cognitive disabilities, i would say invisible disabilities too but i honestly do not remember hearing about it. But from the other topics that they spoke about, i related because i have a learning disability and a self diagnosis of psychological disability. Like i mentioned on my first paragraph.

Lastly, Ashley and Elena's presentation was very helpful at least for me because now i know for future projects for this class or for others that i just practice my script before the presentation to make it sound more organized. Also, that i should of made the interview answers more organized and that i should of introduced who the interviewees more rather than just saying their names. One other thing i got from this presentation was that i should make sure that the pictures or words don't over lap with one another.  I'm not sure if anyone else learned from what Ashley and Elena said, but i do hope that they did and that many of us will use the feedback given to us as a way to better our future presentations. Lastly, i want to thank everyone who was in my group and also to Ashley and Elena.
